Every now and then, as I travel through my life, I come to this point. Left? Right? Straight ahead?
Something will be nagging at me, grinding away and I try to maintain the silence of listening so that I can truly hear where it is I'm meant to go.
Unlike Alice I have never met a cat I could ask (not that he was much help, the point being, no one else can tell you which way to turn)....and once again I'll just have to trust my instincts.
While I'm questing about for my "passion", my direction, my next move on the chessboard of life, I will be running a series about inspiring women. I hope you will take the time to read about these incredible women and discover their talents and philosophies of life. Each one has given me something intangible in their own way. And if you don't see your name in any of these features, don't believe that you aren't inspiring. You are. Incredibly.

If I were going to run a series about inspiring women, you can be sure you'd top the list!
That fork in the road comes so other, doesn't it ? Feeling a big one ahead of me too. I look forward to reading your series and seeing if I can get inspiration that helps my own voice to become clearer...
On the Road to find out...(a favorite song by Cats for me : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rQ--odAAA1A)
Always glad we are on the road together, my friend !
Big Love to you !
Seems as if HE is whispering to both of us. I just posted last night that after my husband's health crisis and miracle, my deepened love for Him in my daily life has me questioning the direction of my blog. I will be very interested in reading your posts on inspiring women.
Blessings,
Lynn
Yay! Great idea! I can't wait to see which ones you choose.
Spring brings this out in me as well...around this time I notice I start needing silence more, I think more and I become more aware....
Here's to finding purpose...
“The silence of listening.” I like that.
I don’t think I’ve been truly listening to my inner voice, my instincts – or, they are buried deeper than I realize.
May you find the path you are meant to take.
i swear i come to that crossroads *every month*, if you catch my drift! sometimes that introspection is exhausting, and sometimes exhilarating.
Who`s going to do a feature on you ! ??
There are so many options / possibilities for everyone to make that choice at various points in our lives - the art of doing nothing and hearing what your innerself is humming , needs to be listened to .
A thing i do quite regular -i get bored very easily or it could be , that i want to try doing many things , and feel time is my enemy !
Can`t wait to see who you have , and maybe we can take a small nugget of wisdom away with us !
Silence is the only way to hear those inner voices telling us which direction to take next.
I'm looking forward to reading this inspiring series Sherry!
xo
All the answers get presented when we are still and listening, so I think you are right on track with the "silence of listening"
I too am sharing this feeling, I just wrote about my intention to "go right when I know I should go left." I am starting small, like going down new streets, but am so hopeful that it will lead to bigger changes!
Keep us posted on this journey!
Sounds like a very interesting journey...Can't wait to read about the others.
It is true, no one else can give us the direction we need to take, we do have to trust our instincts, although others can be very inspirational to our choice.
Looking forward.....
I so relate to this--every day I ponder which way to go in so many ways and haven't decided if it's a phase I'm going through or if I'm always going to be like this. And I'm looking forward to reading about your amazing women--I always love when you write about your friends, this will be nice :)
Hope you're having a wonderful Monday!

I have been on that road many times, wishing you clarity as you search for the way. I look forward to reading your series of women. I am sure it will be enlightening and inspiring.
The silence of listening . . . love that! I can't wait to see your series on inspiring women.
I don't think the Cheshire cat really helped Alice much anyway. We all have to listen to our inner voice.....however easier said then done. Why does it get so muddled up.
Sometimes i think I need blinders on so i wont get so distracted.
I love your saying maintain the silence of listening. I know your instincts will lead you to the right place.
I can't wait to read about the inspiring women in your life.
If they are anything like your book reviews they will be awesome.
Looking forward to your series--what a great idea!
Hi, Sherry! Very much looking forward to your new series. Enjoy your time thinking and dream about your path... ((HUGS))
Life has handed me a large bowl of lemons lately so while I'm figuring out how to go about and make a hell of alot of lemonade, I've had little time for blogging. Except for yours Sherry. I might not get to it everyday but when I can grab a few moments, have a coffee (or green tea lately) Sit down for a moment and "breath" I come and read your blog. I am so looking forward to meeting the women you'll feature this week. xo
You inspire me every time you write Sherry! You are a refreshingly deep thinker, concerned with far more than the latest home dec, you always make me think. We are a lot alike as we search for who we are and where we are going next. I love you for that:>)
Love your series! and I'm so much at a fork right now that I needed a time-off from my own blog. Will continue to read your inpiration though :)
