This...Is Me...

A few weeks ago Kate at The Queen of Creativity  graced me with this Kreativ Blogger award which touched me very much...that Kate would think so highly of me and what I write.

The rules are that I am to tell 7 things about myself and then pass this award on to others.

Here are a few little nuggets about me....

I'm finding it harder as I get older to stay committed to things I've started;

I've just read this

And this

And I'm listening to this

I'm not a fan of the Olympics, summer or winter and never have been...not into the hype at all.  Happy for all who do well but I'm not a "rah rah" sort of person and athletics don't excite me;

I don't like being put on the spot or told to "calm down" (the latter especially by men);

and

I'm tired of all the women at the gym who feel the need to come into the hot tub in the nude...I don't get into hot tubs with naked people I know so why would I want to be in there with naked strangers??

As for passing this on...so many I know through the world of blogging do not want awards or have been given these awards so I shall offer this to all who read my blog who would like it and want to share 7 things about themselves.   I suppose that's another one of those things about me...I bend the rules from time to time.

Congratulations on the award!
The fact that you “bend the rules from time to time” is one of your most endearing (and admirable) qualities. ;)

This award couldn't go to a nicer person. What is it with people who are ok with their own nudity but don't stop to think that whoever gets an eyeful might not appreciate it? Ick. The rule bending? I'm with you. Sometimes they just beg to be broken:>)

LOL my yogurt went down the wrong pipe...I dont understand the nude thing either, LOL but I bet if you say something, even gently, you would end up being the negative one....

Congratulations on your award! I love that you bend the rules...

The fact that I know that people get in hot tubs nude is what keeps me from getting into most public hot tubs. I just cannot get past it...

The award goes to a wonderfully gifted woman ! ♥

It`s turning my stomach - the nakedness in the hot tub ! Is that after they`ve been sweating working out then get in ! ? No thankyou !!

I guess now I know the reason I don't go to the gym. Take care, it was nice learning more about you.

Thanks for sharing these things about yourself Sherry, it's always nice to learn a little more about our favorite bloggers. I'm quite impressed that you've managed to finish a couple of books--wish I could say the same! Hope you're having a wonderful Monday!

congrats on winning the award my rule bending friend!

I'm with you especially when my husband tells me to calm down-it's steam out the ears!

Some rules are just meant to be broken...but not in a hot tub of strangers! LOL I agree!

Caroline said...

Yes, some rules need to be broken! As for the naked hot tub thing...I am with you on that. Blech!

Congrats on receiving the award. It was so sweet of you to pass it on to all your readers.

Congrats on the sweet award, Sherry... and for taking it your way and bending the rules a bit. ;o) Such fun learning more about you. I've not watched one minute of the Olympics--not even a glimpse of the opening ceremonies. I'm just not a sporty person, and I don't really sit in front of the TV much either--so I can relate! So funny about the hot tub thing... haha... Happy Day ((HUGS))

Thank heavens I've found someone else who will admit to not being an avid Olympic watcher. Phew! I thought I was all alone there. I am a turn-the-tv-off kind of person. And naked in a public hot tub?! Oh my gawd! I also have a pet peeve about women who strut their stuff in the buff in the locker room. Maybe because I'm shy about my body, but the ones who walk around starkers while they dry their hair, pick at their teeth, have a long conversation with other women...well, I just don't get it. Naked makes me feel vulnerable.

how fun! i'm with you on the hot tub thing! thank you for stopping by! have a beautiful week! susan

I agree.
I'm not that into the Olympics...I watch it because there is nothing else on.

Naked strangers...... yikes!

I'd slap the man who told me to calm down! Or at least give them the evil eye.lol!

But have to disagree with you about being a rah rah person. I do get excited about the sports I'm into.

Congrats on the blog award.

Hope you are having a great day.
Hugs,
Charlie

EWE naked in the GYM!?!?! I do like rule-benders, but not THOSE rules! I used to like the Olympics but find my attention span is too short in my dotage. I'm not a rah rah person either...I was a pom pom girl in high school just so I could wear the short skirt and bounce around in front of the boys. **blow kisses** Deb

There is an award waiting for you at my blog :)

I am another one who is not really into the Olympics, I must admit I do like to watch the speed skating but that's it for me. I also hate hockey and football.
I don't like going in public hot tubs at ALL, never mind with naked women, they probably pee in there eeeeeewwwwwww, and there is no need to strut around like that at a gym anyway, made me laugh when you commented about it though and all your readers who agree LOL

I am one of those people who don't do awards and tags too, just not my thing.

Have a great night Sherry :)
