Before I begin talking about creativity, I am going to follow up on my Pay-It-Forward post. I had my son draw 5 names for me the other night and had other things on the go for Thursday and Friday. So I bring you the five names who will be taking part in the Pay-It-Forward:
I will be sending something your way within the next week and look forward to you passing on the karma in your own blogs!
♥
I try to do something creative on Saturdays, even if it's just something small. Over the last few weeks I have been extremely creative...working on journal pages with Julie Prichard, I've begun splashing paint on canvas with Carmen Torbus (and making a wonderful mess!), and I've published my first zine for breast cancer fund raising. On top of that I've been writing and coming up with other ideas I want to pursue.
I've been reading a lot....
And loving every book...Sophie Kinsella is back with more of her wit and humour and wonderful tales...Amy Tan's memoir was beautiful...and it explains why I have loved her fiction so much. Philippa Gregory has taken Elizabeth Woodville, wife of King Edward -- the House of York and made her a woman to remember.
So I think for today, I will just kick back and relax a bit...I might pick up a paint brush (or use my hands) or I might just snuggle in for a lovely nap. Sometimes a break can be very creative indeed!

a well-deserved break, I don't how you can do so much :)

Breaks are so good and so necessary ! Not in the cards for me today but maybe tomorrow when I notch a few more things off the to-do list !
Enjoy your restful Saturday !

I only managed a little creative time - we had a loss of power this morning for 3 hours and i was using my sewing machine at the time !! Gale force winds and now the creativity has gone for now - so that`s my break ! So i`m sure you`ll retreat and enjoy yours too !
And i`ll be doing a receipe soon - one i created as an easy autumn warming dish soon !
xoxo
I am so glad I was chosen to pay it forward! One of my favorite things to do!
Love,

Hi Sherry. Thank you so much for your recent participation on my blog giveaway. I appreciate your sweet comment! You are a kindred-artist soul.
Warmly, gina
Speaking in my best Montessori voice, "You will want to clean that up when you are finished".
Looks like fun! **blows kisses**

I love the idea of posting what books you've been reading. I have read a few of Philippa Gregory and was pondering The White Queen. I have a stack or two waiting for me:) Nothing like escaping with a good book!
I have read all of Amy Tan's book but not that one. I've got to put that one on hold at my library!
Even relaxing can be a creative experience. Enjoy your weekend.
You haven't heard of pumpkin ice cream?? You poor thing! It can be found in certain grocery stores (the Nugget and Safeway here carry them) and in Baskin Robins for the month. You're going to love it :) ps- I whole-heartedly agree with you- everything should be pumpkin flavored!
Relax, take a nap, get creative, get messy – the options are endless!
Just be sure to enjoy the weekend. You’ve been quite a busy lady lately.
I do some of my best creating when I lie down in the afternoon and let my mind have a little thinking room! Enjoy your day Sherry:>)
Relaxation is exactly what I need. Have a restful weekend!
Sounds like you have been having all kinds of fun lately!! You are so right though, sometimes a break brings with it a whole new perspective on things!
Hi my sweet Sherry~
Looks messy (paint) but fun! The green splat made me think of a parrot I once owned....lol
I will have to look for the White Queen love her books....I have been reading a bit too.
Today, my break is from sugar busters, I started the day with a scone, had some Ben and Jerry's, and fries and shrimp for dinner. Yikes....hope my stomach can take it. I might be one sorry girl tomorrow.
Sending you bunches of love.
Wonderful! There is something so nice about paint on your hands, not decorating paint but creative paint!
Those books look good but you must be such a fast reader. I am so slow, even a short book takes me ages. I am going to read The Piano Teacher at the moment, have yet to start...
Have a lovely Sunday, my friend! I've read the Phillipa Gregory book and enjoyed it immensely. I've read several by the other authors but not these two. Looks like another trip to the bookstore, not that I mind.
