Pondering the list I made the other day of what I'm about right now, I realized that part of my stagnation is being on the computer so much. I love technology, I love being able to travel the world and feed my thirst for knowledge and beauty and art and connection with others and so many other things. But there are times when I feel overwhelmed and consumed by losing myself at my computer.
With school finishing here for the year tomorrow as they head into 4 days of exams, I realize how few hours I have left of total, blissful, peaceful quiet without having to "time share" on the computer, the kitchen, the house in general. Without my "space" being invaded.
With that in mind, I'm taking a little break from my computer, from this chair, from this room, to take care of business, to enjoy this last bit of solitude before we readjust to life at home in the summertime.
Savour your bliss ♥

I will miss you but I so get this -Enjoy your time, your space and your moments of solitude. And brava to you for knowing it is time to go savor them...
Much love !
Great decision! I'll miss you but I know you'll be blessed.
I think we all need a break like this I am thinking of doing the same thing, enjoy :)
Enjoy your break, gather your strength (gird your loins, etc.,) and prepare for the onslaught of your beloved sons and their friends!
enjoy your break! I think its important!
you enjoy that time! I agree, I can actually feel an energy drain from this machine, but it's like an addiction, worried I'm missing something if I don't go read my blogs (that is why I'm reading no more new ones, I just can't) I barely write now at least anything creative or that I've given real thought to. the weekend my computer was in the shop was quite rejuvenating, it was like I really took in deep breathes of fresh air & I have been cutting time back here, maybe I'll cut back more as well.
Enjoy your bliss sweetie !
We all need to cut the "apron strings " from the computer from time to time , my wind down is next week - just needed for our hoiday break , which will be most welcomed indeed !
Love and miss
xoxo
Enjoy your bliss my sweet friend! I will be looking for your next post!
Love,
LuLu~*xoxo
p.s. I LOVE the song....I am shaking my fanny right now!!!*dancing around acting all silly*
We are all just a little bit addicted. And I don't really understand how it came about, but I need to spend less time with this and more time at my workbench.
Enjoy your freedom!!
Enjoy your break. I will have summer holidays and kids to deal with soon too so I am in the same position as you.
Taking a break is so important. I know what you mean when you say you are losing yourself at the computer.
Enjoy the peaceful quiet time!
Whenever you get a chance stop by- you won an award!
Funny how it goes, huh? The first little while you might miss it, wondering if it's too early to hit "refresh" again. As the days dwindle by, it's less and less of an attraction. But watch out for that start up. Summer, my favorite time of year, I've often wondered if I would get as much done if I lived in a tropical climate. I, too, am looking forward to time at the cottage where there no high-speed, only dial-up that frequently disconnects itself.
We haven't met - but I enjoy your blog very much. My quiet 'sanctuary' ends next week too, as summer is fast approaching and my girls are finishing school. I love time with my girls, but I enjoy my solitude too... and yes, isn't it easy to spend such long hours here? Especially reading wonderful blogs such as yours.
Best Wishes to You!
Dawn
I will miss you, but totally understand we all need alittle R&R from life at times. Many hugs... xoxo
I think we all need to step away once in a while, I'll miss your posts, they are so thought provoking! But I hope you enjoy your time away. Breathe the summer air:>) Enjoy!
Savour your bliss. I love that thought. And the music! What a great way to start a morning. Thank you, Sherry. Much love to you. Take good care of your business. :)
