Monday Musings...

It's just been that kind of life over the last few days; some good, some not so good ~

* some time in the garden on Saturday night and the 4 or 5 mosquitoes who found me, are "reminding" me this morning as I discover those tell tale itchy spots...

* oldest son goes back to his house for a week and I let him use my car...he "kindly" leaves with my car AND the spare key to the other vehicle...

* mind you, I gave him all our garbage (there is a strike here in Toronto) and he took that with him to dispose of where he lives...

* picked up a coffee this morning and the barista noted that (a) I ordered a larger size and (b) was in earlier than usual...am I that predictable?!? If I ever go missing at least I know someone will notice!

* today's forecast called for rain but I woke to the sunshine..

* saw a baby fox sitting on the fence in my back garden this morning...lovely to see but a little scary as I really don't want foxes in my garden...they're a little too prevalent right now and this is a residential neighbourhood...

* loving the lushness in my back garden, all those late June early July blooms fill it with colour.

Some days you are the pigeon...some days you are the statue. Some days you get to be both!

Sounds like it is a beautiful morning in Toronto...
I'm still hoping to see some of your garden...
And coming away from the flea market with just a bit is just the way it goes - some days my "allowance" is used up before I have seen the whole flea market and sometimes I just don't find anything worth what the sellers are asking. It is just about the treasure hunting, that is why it is sooo much fun.

I love gardens. I don't have one, but many homes in my neighborhood does. I love walking by and seeing the beautiful sights.

Oh that's funny - pigeons and statues - can I use it if I give you credit? Just how bad is it with the garbage strike? My sister is in Newmarket, not sure if she is affected. It's never a good time of year for that kind of strike. And the wildlife! Foxes? I have heard of those in our neighborhood but never saw one. Did see a coyote 2 years ago and that freaked me out. The foxes will be tough on the bird population. They might be in for the garbage or the easy food. Have you tried some aloe gel on the mosquito bites? Works for me.

I believe a barista can either make or break your day. Sounds like you've found yourself a keeper.

I am LMBO @ the pigeon and statue thinggie! Harlow was the statue today...she came back in this morning with a little present a birdie left on her fur! Needless to say, she had to have a bath at o'dark thirty this morning!

You have a package on it's way to your house. It was mailed this morning so I am not sure how long it will take to get there :)

Love,
LuLu~*xoxo

So does this mean you don't have use of a car? No keys, no car! I'd go crazy. but of course you can probably walk places.
Love to see more pictures of your garden. I think I'm a statue today.

Hello there, lovely Sherry !
Spending a little time trying to catch up with my favorite Blogland friends after getting back from Omntreal yesterday. Had a sweet time with my sister's kiddos and in Mont Tremblant enjoying the nature and a few days of sunshine.

Read your recent posts and have to say that you seem to have found a gentle rhythm this summer, just enjoying life's sweet and bittersweet moments...makes my heart happy for you.
Sending love and summer peace wishes !
