...some thoughts ...

.... some thoughts ...

♥ after weeks of fallowness and a muse that has gone into a coma, I may try my hand at jewelry making. Deryn Mentock has been fascinating me these last few months with her thoughts and her art...I'm looking at exploring new avenues.

♥ I'm re-reading Susan Tuttle's "Exhibition 36" -- not because I want to do all of the things other artists have done...I'm enjoying how people express themselves and the inspiration that they share.

♥ I loved the comments people left about potential. I love how people view what they can do or what they cannot do and how they view the challenge of life's potential.

♥ I called the Olympic issue postage stamp "ugly" and yet, Lelainia found the beauty in the stamp by saying it was colourful...and it is.

♥ I gave up something for Lent this year (can't recall the last time I did that) and it feels sssssooooooo good!

As you know, I’m not much of a jewelry wearer but I’m betting my PayPal account that you could create something I love!

Good thoughts on this fine spring day, Miss Sherry...Love Susan book too, such eye candy...hope the Muse wakes soon, jewelry play time might just be the alarm clock she needs !
Sending love and color to you !

Thank you Sherry Lee!
I am really looking forward to seeing what kind of jewellery you will be making.

I love my columbines too - something about their nature (they grow everywhere in the garden that they please, there are different colours and types of blooms every year) - I quess it is because they seem to be untameable. I don't expect to see them flower before some time in late May either. Depends on the weather, and the snails and slugs!!

Maybe jewelry is just what you need to get your creative artsy back :)
I want to try my hand at soldering, as if I need anything else to do, but it keeps calling me.

Oh how cool....go where your muse leads you. It will be fun! Learning a new skill or technique keeps me going. I'm sure you will come up with some awesome pieces. Can't wait to see what you do.
And yes giving up something for lent is both difficult and rewarding.

Jewellery can be wonderfully creative! It's something that I'd like to do more of if I could only catch up on what I already have to do. Can't wait to see what you come up with Sherry ... Deryn was a guest artist in the Paper Bella workshop I did ... her work is beautiful!

How I love Susan Tuttles book and like you, not so much for the projects in thte book, (which I will probably never try my hand at) but for the insights and inspiration of the contributing artists. Their words have rang truths in my brain. And makes it well worth re-reading again and again.

I love Deryn's designs.

I will have to go peer at the Olympic postage stamp...I have not seen it yet :)

Hope you are having a great evening! We are sitting here just laughing up a storm...Richard Simmons is on some commercial right now hopping about like a little hoppy toad...priceless! (it doesn't take much to entertain me and the Commander) *snort*

Love,
LuLu~*xoxo

I see we are doing the same thing !!
It`s difficult for me to buy all the necessary things - like the special pliers but i`m making do with what i have and recycling for now ..
I have a soldering iron that has collected dust for months ! I may try that - although i haven`t done it before - so kind of scary !
You go where your muse takes you - like you tell me - and see what you come up with !

I look forward to seeing the jewelry you create.

I like your recap of the week.
The sun is shinning here today on and off. At some point we might be expecting snow again. That is fine too because I know in a few months we will be wishing for snow.

I hope your weekend is colorful and golden!
